IS PRESIDENT BUSH A FAILURE? FAILUREMAG.COM KNOWS SO ONLINE MAGAZINE ATTRIBUTES ITS SUCCESS TO BUSH FAILURES

PHOENIX, AZ - President Bush and his administration may be failing miserably but Failure magazine couldn't be happier. Driven by a massive surge in failure-related Web searches, the independent online magazine—www.failuremag.com—is in the midst of a dramatic resurgence, with traffic and advertising revenue up over 900 percent in the past three months.

"Failuremag.com wishes to express its sincere appreciation to President Bush and his administration for getting every American thinking about failure," begins Jason Zasky, editor and co-founder of the six-year-old online magazine. "Whether it's the Iraq War, the response to Hurrricane Katrina, the Abu Ghraib scandal, the CIA leak probe, Harriet Miers' Supreme Court nomination, the skyrocketing national debt or gasoline prices—to name just a few—people are increasingly equating the Bush Administration with failure. We happen to be one of the rare entities that's actually benefiting from Bush's policies."

George W. Bush is no stranger to the pages of Failure. In 2003, the Bush Administration was named the magazine's "Failure of the Year" (FOTY). Last December, in a prescient move, Failure tabbed The American Voter as FOTY 2004—for giving President Bush and the Republican controlled Congress a second chance. Meanwhile, George W. appears to be a shoo-in for FOTY 2005. "If President Bush needs help recalling any of his mistakes he's welcome to contact us," says Zasky. "We're experts on failure and we can think of dozens of missteps."

Failuremag.com was launched in the summer of 2000 at the height of dot-com mania. Covering sports, history, science, entertainment and business, Failure and its nationally recognized writers cover failure—and its close relative, success—from a bold perspective that is insightful, informative and entertaining.Featuring the daily "Failure of the Day" and the "Book Report," Failure presents a unique take on its subject with a wide variety of stories from the past and present.
